  1. you are absolutely correct 🙂 and evan is wrong…he does bruise the grass behind the ball (I said bruise, not dig) . All great ball strikers do this…it’s a shallower attack angle.

  2. He isn’t actually, he is taking them after it just appears to be before. If you take divots before the ball it’s a “fat” shot and you lose major distance if you hit it fat because you hit dirt first then the ball so you barely hit the ball with any sort of momentum because the club was dug into the ground.

  3. It seems that his divots begin before striking the ball contrary to every golf coach i have read or spoken to. I guess there is more than one right way in that regard as well… hmmm

  4. Hey check out my channel! Great swingvids; trying to beat Rory one day! Help me and rate/comment! Thanks!

  5. it hurts your fingers for te first 3-4 days, then you get used to it. thats wut happened to me

  6. It used to hurt my hands as well, but I guess I got used to it or either have a grip so that it doesn’t hurt. It mainly hurt my right ring finger, but now I have a huge callous type thing on the side of it due to a bad glove rubbing it.

  7. Nicklaus used the overlap because he has small hands. Tiger uses the interlock because Nicklaus used it. uhhhhhhhh WHAT?

  8. Key word: players. Hogan used the overlap a and was arguably the best ball striker of all time. Nicklaus used the overlap because he has small hands. Tiger uses the interlock because Nicklaus used it. Make sure your grips are not too thick. Johnny Miller, another amazing ballstriker said that you should use as thin of a grip as you feel comfortable with. There is more to worry about than what grip the best players in the world use.

  9. @chenyuyufc If you have big hands then use it but if you have a small sized pair then it’s best not

  10. Looks like the dominant players all have interlock grip, Nicklaus, Tiger and now Rory. I gave it a try and it hurt my fingers, something must be wrong.

  11. Normal speed, slow mo (what this is), and super slow mo, would be great as a video standard.
