Martin Kaymer is a professional golfer from Germany who currently plays on the European Tour and is also a part of the US PGA Tour. Kaymer is also a former world number one, having reached the top of the Official World Golf Rankings in 2011 after he finished as runners-up in the World Golf Championship – Accenture Match Play Championship but lost the top spot after a mere eight weeks when Lee Westwood overtook him to become the new world number one.
